When developers meet financial world

Fintech isn’t a buzzword anymore. More and more fresh non-banking companies are trying to get a share on a financial market – micro-loans and lendings, mobile payments, card issuing, money transfers, currency conversions, crypto-currencies, a mix of those services, you name it. Thanks to this explosion, modern banking sector IT isn’t associated with cobol and mainframes and looks attractive for many software developers.

But, like every industry, fintech has its own gotchas and caveats. In this talk, we’ll see some of them from a software developer point of view. We’ll cover thing expected by developers (“tech” part of fintech), and, well, less expected – “finance” part.
